So April is national poetry month, and to celebrate that as well as our 300th gryph, I'll give a free normal random egg to whomever wins this contest. Shipping is free in the US (it will be added to your next batch OR when I next ship whichever comes first) It ends the 21st at midnight.
The rules are to write a haiku that somehow involves gryphs. it can be RP, solterra, demons, breeding, egg picking, you characters, the species, the metagame, the forum...anything goes. You may write as many as you wish..honestly I'd love to hear them all XD feel free to group several per post or just one, I'll leave it to the users. Haiku is a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. example: example writing leashing thought and teaching too to bang out haiku In my opinion, the very best haikus have a twist at the end as per forum rules, no swearing etc. but I figure that's obvious.

Here's the ones I came up with before hitting writer's block.
Newborn Gryphs playing Under parents' watchful eyes In the summer sun
Exploring the world To find the capped up Lifewells And save sleeping Gryphs
Demon Sky Dancers Fly in the sky with their mom To their comfy tree
