Think good thoughts for my kitty Nezumi please. She is battling what we believe is a kidney infection =( We are giving her subQ fluids at home, lots of antibiotics etc. We'll know in a week if she's responding to treatment. I didn't think she would make it thursday, she went downhill rapidly. She perked back up after the pain meds though, and even zoomed around the house. She's eating and drinking again after the first antibiotics, which is better than expected already. The vet thinks she has a fighting chance despite her age. <3

(Oh, I always forget, her fur isn't a disease, she's a Cornish Rex. It's supposed to look that way)

Poor Nezumi! I hope she feels better very soon, I’m praying for her. It’s good that she’s eating and drinking, that’s typically a good sign.

We gave her the last dose of pain meds last night. She's definitely not 100% but even when they wore off she's eating, drinking and moving around so that's an awesome sign. I think she's beating it. We are still doing subQ fluids which isn't fun >.< and the antibiotics plus nausea meds.

Alas, her kidneys tested poorly. We are doing hospice care, with sub-Q fluids, and a new diet. She will need fluids every day the rest of her life to support her kidneys. She may live only 6 months or we might have years. it's impossible to know. We were pretty devastated but after talking to other owners it seems a lot less overwhelming, just expensive.

Hope she's happy and comfortable at least. And give her all the love for however long she's got.
