Alrighty, I am back and better than ever. No seriously. I'm so sorry for the interlude, I was having my first major flare of fibromyalgia, but now I have a name for something that's affected me for a while and a management plan. Also, I've been diagnosed with carpal tunnel plus ulnar tunnel...turns out I nevwer had tendinitis, it was misdiagnosed. I'll be getting surgery for those in a couple months but the surgery should be a minor blip, the Dr thinks I can keep working through for the most part. It's likely I will have flareups of fibro again in the future too but hopefully shorter and at least we know it will pass =) It seems while I still have some numbness from a nerve pinch in the elbows, sculpting doesn't affect it at all so I'm good to go!
Anyways, I hate to be so open about health issues, but I want to make sure everyone knows where I was and that I'm committed to keeping gryphs alive.
I finished the first litter from last breeding season, pics will be posted tomorrow. I got a few new tools for sculpting (plus I studied anatomy while I was out of commission) I think people will be pleased with the results--much cleaner work.
I also started the new species, which I will introduce shortly. I will also have an online sale that will be more open than previous. I'm experimenting to see if we can have a store directly on the gryphs website, since fees to both paypal and etsy mean that my price is a little low.
The long-term plan is to try to recruit new members through some of the local convention scene, as well as advertising more. I have signed up for Tiny Paws, plus the local furry con in Springfield MA whose name escapes me. Also I'm confirmed for Nauticon though I don't expect many sales there (that's more a fun convention). Might make an appearance at Conbust too. Anthro New England was a nice kick in the butt to sign up for more now that my son is old enough to be left in care. I *may* be sharing a booth with Coventry Decor in Anime Boston's dealers room, unfortunately those don't open until a month before the convention.
For role-playing, we need a critical mass. Atraties finds it very difficult to run a game with so few players, and it can be discouraging. What we need are more people that are interested in being present at scenes. As soon as we can have a few players that are committed to coming to most of the sessions we can run it again. We're very keen to! We need 3 people that are regulars, and hopefully some casuals. It would have to start once winter is over.
I'd love to start livestreaming more, my new machine should handle it better and my son is more regular about sleep.
I'm really excited what the new season will hold!
