No more laziness...second half of the new editions! teefascaves.weebly.com/vulpi-swiftblur.htmlVulpie Swiftblur is extremely fast, as his name implies. However, he's also an extremely cowardly Gryphs who wouldn't know what to do if he found himself in a fight. Speed definitely helps with that, since he could get away if attacked by something on the road. Though he usually just stays home anyway. Rey Blueye is as curious as a cat! Close to Flare, she's usually the one who tells him when he's getting in over his head. I just like the idea of a curious and brave character and a timid character playing off each other. Fenni Sandfur, a laid back young Faery Fen. He likes watching the world go by, even having a nice deck built off his roof to give him a nice perch to watch from. teefascaves.weebly.com/plum-violetgaze.htmlPlum Violetgaze is a distant cousin of Muffin's who cared for her after she was left orphaned. He doesn't really approve of her hanging out with the troublemaking Nekyo, although he knows there's nothing he can do about it since she's a grown cat. Though when it doesn't come to Muffin he's basically a laid back guy. Perpetually lucky Sakura Crysgem. She can be very oblivious to things, which is why she's one of the few Gryphs Tiger feels comfy around besides his family. Though others accuse her of being a ditz at the same time. EXTRA: teefascaves.weebly.com/aera-windstorm.htmlAera Windstorm, a friend of Sunny and Strawberry. While not Sakura levels of oblivious, she doesn't seem to get that the boys have a crush on her. Then again, she'd probably have trouble choosing since she cares for both.

January Breeding babies and Confirmed Cat babies... This is Umbra Shadowchrome, the first of my Demon ATDs. Undetermined, but making female since the other is male. She enjoys running and is extremely playful. I literally looked up different black stones in order to find a nice fit for her surname. Her first name is the latin word for shadow (and is actually also the name of a Black Cat Vulnyx I have in Sylestia). Umbra's brother, Bandit Shadowstone. He gets his name from his raccoon-like mask that covers his left eye. Like his namesake, Bandit is a very sneaky individual, generally the brains of the sibling pair. teefascaves.weebly.com/trixie-pearleye.htmlTrixie Pearleye. I thought her purple eye made me think of a pearl, and thus her surname. While her call name comes from the fact that she was from a very tricky egg that was one of the most awesome surprises I've ever gotten in any of my random pulls. She is also a bit of a trickster, and tends to run with Nekyo and his friends. Kittie Flamewing! He's actually named after my own pet cat, Kitty Cat (yes...that was his name at the shelter and it was just so silly that I had to keep it), who is also a tuxedo. Plus his wings make me think of fire. Like his namesake, Kittie is very affectionate and enjoys the company of other Gryphs. And yes...I tried taking a picture of both Kittie and Kitty, but the latter just gave me a "Ma...what the heck are you doing!?" look and wouldn't have any part of it!

Forgive the poor quality...it went from super hot to ready to storm and I only snuck a single picture in. Here's the baby I received from flicka and my breeding of my Lowland Prowler and her Plains Dragon. Since his mother, Sakura, is named for the Cherry Blossom, I named him Kanbai, meaning Plum Blossom. His second name is Amecryst since the purple invokes the amethyst gem and to put in the "Crys" from "Crysgem."

My baby bears are in! And I must say...I think I'm actually happy for the mess of rocksalt on our porch. Gave me something that looks like Ice Crystals in the pics. Ciycal Frostarmor, my Ice Walker. Her call name comes from misspelling the "cicle" part of "icicle" while her surname is because I got the image of my own armored Morkko in Sylestia. This group of Gryphs lost their village due to an incident, and, being the largest of the group, Ciycal has taken up the role of protector, using her armored body as a shield when necessary. Basically, self-sacrificing towards those she cares about. Pyntree Greatheart. His call name comes from the color of his fur, which makes me think of a pine tree while his surname was from the heart-shaped piece of Benign White on his shoulder. A brave warrior type who is probably the fiercest in combat of his group and the most courageous. I'm...honestly surprised I didn't make a bad Legend of Zelda joke here... She needs a bit of explaining. Since this baby is a Panda, I decided I wanted to look up some Chinese names to come up with something. And although I call her Lin Jin-Mu, "Lin" is her surname (since from what I was looking up, Chinese names are like Japanese names in regard to how they write them). "Lin" means Forest, "Jin" means Gold, and "Mu" means Wood. So...Goldwood Forest. Jin-Mu was new to town when the attack happened, but did survive since she was out having a moment of quiet in the woods. She's naturally very shy, and the least skilled at fighting in the group. However, she's fairly clever and good at getting them out of scrapes that are not of the combat variety. teefascaves.weebly.com/fishar-indigolake.htmlFishar Indigolake. His blue color made me want do do something related to water, and I figured he could be a fisherman bear. Thus, Fishar. The "Indigo" part of his surname comes from his purple eyes while "lake" comes again from water. Basically, the calm, cool, and collected hunter and fisherman of the group.

Note, these are the first pictures taken after getting my first ever smartphone. Also...these will be the last pictures with the same colored stone background I've always used. Because we just redid our porch and they gave us a plain stone walkway. teefascaves.weebly.com/vix-mysticeye.htmlVix Mysticeye, named so for her interestingly small eyes. An eye injury as a child caused her to look very different from the other Vulpines around. However, as a result, she has somehow gained slight precognitive powers. It's not very exact, like she could tell an attack is coming but not any details of when or how many. Still, she tries to use these abilities to help others. Sylvia Snowtail. I gave her this name because the tail nomming reminds me of Snow Leopards, and Sylvia is a name invoking the color "silver." She was born in a very cold environment, before coming to the village on her own as a young adult. As she used to playfully nom on her mother's tail as a child, she still does it even now when she's feeling a bit lonely. Thankfully, she has made good friends in town, such as Umbra and Bandit. Cabernet Moonwing gets her name both from a red-wine (due to coloration) and the interesting mutation that led to her having Moonsinger Wings. She does wonder if there was a Moonsinger in the family at some point or another... Cabernet loves to run around and play. Flying isn't as easy for her as it is for other Saiga, due to having no one to teach her how to use her smaller wings effectively. But she's very determined to try it on her own, generally over a pile of hay to catch her if she falls. In fact, she met her future mate, Kittie, after he decided to jump in the pile with her! Ivory Inkwell was so named because of her beautiful white eyes and the Inkspot patterns across her back. She's a very skilled hunter and warrior, skilled at sneaking and taking things by surprise. Is actually an apprentice of Kit's, after finding out about her legendary exploits.

It took me some time due to temperature issues and time issues, but I finally got the new pictures of my breeding babies on my computer. So here they are. I must say, their colors were perfect to reference the parents a bit in their names... Blueberry Lemonade, from her blue plating and yellow body. Undetermined, but making female since the other is a boy. She's a cautious and watchful girl, who is learning to fight so she never ends up in a situation like the one that weakened her father's leg. Though sometimes she does get frustrated with her brother, as he can be a handful. Coconut Limeade, from the white plating and green body. As well as these sweet Key Lime Coconut treats my mother got at the Christmas Tree Shop (one of our favorite places for snacks). He's over-excitable and loves to eat. Although also training as a warrior, he has trouble with the whole stealth and caution aspect. BONUS...with the parents...

Saiga Breeding Babies! I must say, I LOVE the way both Moonsinger and Saiga wings have combined together to make something completely different. Caterine Noonwing. Making this baby a female since her Sire is the one she got her Tuxedoed patterns from, thus I have one male and one female with said pattern. That's also how she got her name...since her father's name is a very cat-like name (coming from my own son), I wanted something similar for her. She's an extreme girly-girl, loving cute accessories and disliking battle. It's a wonder she and Blueberry are best friends, being polar opposites and all that. Although she will deny it till the cows come home, she also enjoys being scratched behind the ear. Burgundy Nightwing, the male baby. Just as Caterine was themed around their Sire, he's purposefully referencing their Dam with his wine-themed name (it was the closest I could come to his color). He's adorable and he knows it, using his big eyes to get him out of trouble or in order to get someone to give them a treat. While his parents are wise to his games, not all of the townspeople are. And some do still give in... BONUS: Babies and their parents...

Burgundy Nightwing is such a handsome fellow! He really is. The colors go well together and I just love how they inherited their pa's patterns exactly. And he's got that beautiful cat look that I've seen all too many times from my prissy girl.

So my newest babies are finally set up. Because I got some time on my hands to edit pictures while I was working on the images for my contest stories... These three are a group of orphans who grew up together under the care of a kindly elderly Gryph. When she passed on, the teens went on a journey together. Now...they live in town with all my other Gryphs. Blackjack Scrufffur. As her name suggests, she loves to gamble. And has crazy good luck at it too, in addition to knowing most any strategy in those games. Most of the other Gryphs quite avoid playing ANY betting game with her because they're most likely going to lose. Though she does occasionally get people to play the games with her for fun, with no betting involved. Once they moved to town, she became good friends with Ivory, as the two both have their own special skillsets that work well together. Her gambling used to simply be a way at helping to support the orphanage. Now...she just likes it and does it out of habit. Misty Wildheart. She looks gentle and frail...but look out! If you hurt any of her friends, she is going to mess you up! The Woltures that attacked them as they made it to town can attest to that... Smokey Wintertree. As Misty's parents took care of him before they passed away, he thinks of her as a big sister. And is opposite to her in every way. Meaning, he looks strong and fierce...but is frail and hates hurting anyone. Although if push did come to shove, he wouldn't allow his friends to be hurt, though relying on his large body (and probably ending up aching in the morning) than any real skill at combat.

Latest Gryph Update... Dalma Citra, from "Dalmation" and "Citrus." She has a love of speed, and enjoys racing as a hobby. Gets along well with anyone who can run fast with her. Always on the lookout for new challengers, and spends a lot of her time training. Kumastsu Catmint, who has a very interesting name origin. I looked up purple flowers to continue my Prowler theme of Japanese flower themed names. Kumatsu comes from kumatsudura, which is Japanese for Common Vervain/Verbena. The herb was long ago associated with supernatural and holy forces, with spikes holding mauve colored flowers. Not only does it make me think of magic (kind of like how Sakura shares a name with the main character of Card Captor Sakura, who used magic from cards), but the plant has spikes much like a Prowler does! Anyway, he was a traveler who devoted his life to helping those in need. When he met Sakura, a single mother caring for her half-Dragon son. Kumatsu struck up a friendship with her and came to admire her strength of character. The two ended up falling in love and he became Kanbai's step-father. He's never lost his kind nature, and will do his best for any of the other villagers.

Ah...my camera had a few updates to it so my pictures came out a tiny bit odd. But still share worthy. Note that I have theme naming going on again...but I'll explain at the end in case anyone wants to try and figure it out. Hint...replaying an old video game! This is Eirika Braveheart (yes, it's supposed to be spelled like that). A kindly young woman who hates violence and fighting. However, while a bit naive to the world beyond her homeland, she still is smart enough to know that not everything can be solved with words alone. Thus she learned how to protect herself in case of danger. Which came in the form of a Gnoll attack that separated her from her twin brother. Now, she travels with Seth in search of him. This is Seth Noblewolf. A noble warrior who protected his hometown, until a strangely coordinated Gnoll attack destroyed it. He didn't take the time to wonder why those creatures were able to work together as well as they did, instead running alongside the village chief's daughter, Eirika. He would protect her with his very life, and worries about her whenever she joins the fray. Although her abilities in combat do impress him. The names come from characters from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, which I happen to be playing at the moment. They're kind of one of my favorite pairings in-game, a princess trying to find her brother and regain her destroyed kingdom, and the knight who took her away before her castle was attacked. EDIT: I remembered after going to bed that I had posted the pic on my tumblr. If you want to see it... Howling Wolves.

Pushing through sickness and being busy to post images of the new babies... Sayuri Springbloom. Her given name means Lilly, to go with my theme of naming Prowlers after Japanese flower words. Helps that I've heard Sayuri used as a girl's name (though I can't remember from what game or anime and Google is pointing to a Japanese singer that I definitely don't know). Sayuri loves gardening and planting flowers. She actually runs a small herb shop in town and it's where Ilia gets all of her supplies to treat sick patients. Very gentle, though a bit in the clouds from time to time. Tod Redwood. I just keep getting very fox-looking Common Forest Vulpines! And keep giving them simple names. I named him after the main character in The Fox and the Hound because his coat just looked about the same shade of red as the version in the Disney film. Tod is Sayuri's childhood friend. An overly enthusiastic and friendly guy who enjoys running and climbing trees. Always on the lookout for other people to race with him.
